Nine Inch Nail's Trent Reznor Turns 35
Nine Inch Nails founder Trent Reznor turns 35 years
old today (May 17). Reznor started his band back in the
late '80s and released debut Pretty Hate Machine in 1989 on TVT Records.
Nine Inch Nails members have come and gone over the years, but the one
person who holds true to the vision of the band is Reznor,
who has occasionally gotten labeled as a control freak. However, one of the
newest members to the band, drummer Jerome Dillon, got
a real-life perspective of Reznor while auditioning for the band.
LAUNCH asked Dillon if he was intimidated by Reznor. "It was intimidating
on the level that I was surprised going down to the studio
and hanging out before the audition," he said. "It was a little
intimidating seeing the studio, coming in, knowing the music, and being a
fan of what he was about, and
meeting him that day. It was intimidating because he was such a regular guy
and treated me before and after the audition with just a lot of respect."
Nine Inch Nails is currently on the road -- the band hits Miami tonight.
