The Frail (variations on a theme by Trent Reznor)

This piece was composed as a project for a college music theory class. The assignment contained various stipulations, such as the inclusion of augmented triads, augmented sixths, and the Neapolitan chord, mode mixture, and modulation to both closely related and distant keys -- all typical characteristics of the harmonic style of the late nineteenth century.
