Alessandro Cortini, who while touring with NIN performed amongst a pile of keyboards, modular synthesizers, and that customized Kaoss pad mounted on an articulating arm, reduces his live setup to a
Teenage Engineering OP-1 in the video for "Enough," which would make it the lead single off the upcoming sophomore effort by
SONOIO,
Red. The pre-orders for
Red are similar in scope to what was available for the debut,
Blue: Pre-order now and you'll get demo versions of album tracks - and there are several packages involving CDs, and 18x24 poster by
Caspar Newbolt, and an updated version of the custom synthesizer,
SuONOIO - loaded with samples from the new album, and with a shiny new blue faceplate to contrast the red circuit board.
You can download four tracks from Red freely from SONOIO.org. I really enjoyed the rich harmonies and heartfelt lyrics on the first album and am glad to hear new music from Cortini so soon. I've already gotten a lot of mileage out of the pre-order tracks, and can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
